ADVENT POP-IN, SATURDAY 26^th NOVEMBER, 2011

There was  a lovely buzz in our church hall on the morning of 26^th November as the Advent pop-in got under way.  It was lovely to see so many people, both regulars and some new families too, as well as a steady flow of older folk calling in for a coffee and mince pie.    The craft activities included candles, Christmas baubles and a child in a manger using jelly babies, chocolate cornflake cakes and ready-roll icing! 

However, I am sure the highlight of the morning for many of the grown ups was the short Christingle celebration which rounded off the morning beautifully.  All the children made a Christingle on their way in to the pop-in and it was truly magical to see them all lit up at the end of the morning.
